Senior Accountant (3-5 years’ experience)

General Requirements:

Assist in client engagements related to tax and audit • Experience in preparation of partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns and financial statements • B.A./B.S degree in Accounting (MBA/Masters in Tax/Accounting a plus) • CPA Certification • Time management skills • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Possess an entrepreneurial “go getter” attitude • Strong computer skills; proficient in ProSystem, CCH Suite, and Microsoft Suite

  • Wide variety of accounting and tax assignments
  • Record transactions in ledgers
  • Prepare trial balances and financial statements
  • Perform various reconciliations
  • Prepare accruals
  • Calculate depreciation expense
  • Prepare income tax returns
  • Post payroll transactions
  • Assist with audit fieldwork
  • Various other projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours preferred
  • 2+ years of Public Accounting experience
  • CPA or CPA In Progress preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks
  • CCH Software a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  •  Ability to work independently

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

KRS CPAs is a full-service CPA firm seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant with 3+ years of experience in a professional services environment to join our team. Essential Functions

  1. Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.
  2. Greets and directs visitors to the company.
  3. Provide high-quality customer service by answering routine inquiries.
  4. Develops and maintains office forms and procedures, and assists with administrative tasks.
  5. Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications. Prepares outgoing mail. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  6. Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material.
  7. Handles clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.
  8. Maintains office supply inventory and responsible for the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies.
  9. Assists with marketing and business development teams by taking minutes, maintaining firm newsletter and blogs, event logistics, and social media.
  10. Maintains calendars by scheduling appointments, meetings, and training.
  11. Schedules CPE and maintains database for all accountants.
  12. Assists with processing and other related tasks during tax season.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Remote work is not available for this position.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

3+ years of experience in a similar role at a professional services firm. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices. Associate’s degree preferred.
