Please Welcome Our New 2024 Interns!

Here at KRS, we are more than grateful to welcome our 2024 interns!  Each year we are able to continue our internship program for young and growing minds!   We onboarded 3 new interns – take a moment to learn more about them!  Here are some kind words from our interns.

New Accounting Intern – Chinecia Ferrer

Hi Everyone.  My name is Chinecia (She-knee-sha) Ferrer (Fur-rare).  I am currently attending Montclair State University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  I will be graduating this year in May.  I finished my Associates Degree at Passaic County Community College in 2021.  Prior to KRS, I was working as a hairstylist for a franchise you may all know, Supercuts, for about 8 years.  KRS is officially my very first accounting job and I look forward to working with everyone.  I do have prior experience as a receptionist and office manager in between working at Supercuts and during the pandemic.  I do plan to continue my education and to graduate with my Master’s Degree in Accounting.  Also, I do hope to sit in for the CPA exam very soon.  My favorite aspect of accounting is working with numbers.  Ironically, I was never great in math until I got into high school.  I understand the concept a lot better and ever since then, I’ve always liked working with numbers.

Fun fact: I was born in the Philippines and moved to the USA in 2003 when I was 6 years old and my first 4 years, I lived in NYC.  I still speak Tagalog, which is the main language spoken in the Philippines.  I am an avid crocheter and knitter!

New Administrative Intern – Daniel Podstawski

My name is Daniel, and I go to Ramapo College, where I am studying finance and establishing a minor in Accounting.  I am in the Ramapo Finance group which is a student-run investment club overseeing and managing a portfolio of about $70,000 currently. I want to pursue a masters while I figure out my career options. I hope to do this through more experience and knowledge in both fields to be able to make the best choice for myself.  I am hoping to gain hands on experience and make an impact during my time here.  It is very important to me that I work hard here and help in any way I can.  I also want to keep making meaningful connections, as everyone in the office is so helping and kind.  A fun fact about me is that one of my hidden passions is skiing.  I have been doing it for 5 years now and think it is something everyone should try at least once in their lives.  I love teaching beginners such as my friends and seeing them fall in love with the sport.

New Administrative Intern – Emily Feola

My name is Emily, and I go to William Paterson University, where I am studying accounting and financial planning.  I am in the Student Investment club on campus and also work part time at Dick’s Sporting Goods.  As for what is next for me, I first want to finish out my degrees and then start my journey to becoming a CPA.  I am hoping to gain experience working in an office and learning more about the administrative side of things as well while working here at KRS.  A fun fact about me is I have two older sisters, but I am the tallest out of us three!
