Gerald A. Shanker, CPA/ABV/CFF leads KRS CPAs’ business valuation and litigation support practice and is co-chair of the firm’s tax department. With 30+ years of CPA experience, Jerry brings a wealth of regulatory expertise, strategic insight, and practical knowledge to every engagement.

Having worked at large accounting firms and across diverse industries and business models, Jerry has a deep understanding of what creates and monetizes value within a company. This allows him to advise his clients on how to structure transactions and organizations for growth, profit and value.

Whether it’s a 12-month turnaround for an ailing distribution company or long-term engagement that takes a 3-man startup to a $140 million company, Jerry’s methodologies consistently deliver exceptional value to his clients.

With his Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credentials from the AICPA, Jerry is frequently appointed by judges to serve as an expert witness in state and federal courts.

Jerry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rowan University and Masters of Science in Taxation from Pace University. He is a member of the AICPA and the New York and New Jersey Societies of Certified Public Accountants, NJCPA Essex Chapter, Valuation and Litigation Services Resources Group and Treasurer and founding member of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Divorce Professionals (NADP).

A lecturer at Rutgers University School of Law, Jerry has also published online and in trade journals.
