KRS is pleased to announce the promotion of Lance Aligo, CPA, MSA, from senior accountant to accounting manager. Aligo looks forward to the new opportunities this position will bring, while still working with clients to help them achieve their goals. He will continue to assist clients with business growth, tax planning, and business succession strategies. Aligo will also play a larger role in staff training and development and on-campus recruitment.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with the younger staff accountants and provide training to them. I always felt that KRS had a great support system and now I get to be a part of it,” says Aligo.
“Lance is an asset to KRS and we look forward to his continued personal growth. It is invaluable to have a team member with his ability to develop both our staff and client relationships,” says KRS partner Simon Filip, CPA, MST.
Aligo appreciates the contributions KRS has made to his career success. “KRS has always put me in the right position to succeed in my career. The most important factor is the team I work with every day. When you work with people who support you and have your back, everything else comes easy. We work in a great environment which allows us to assist our clients with their needs,” he comments. “To me, there is no better feeling than helping your clients grow and excel. To know I am a part of this is a big deal to me.”
Aligo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He received his Master of Science in accounting from New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ.
Away from the office, Aligo is an avid hockey player and fan. He captained his college hockey team and has been playing the sport his whole life. He also enjoys spending summer weekends at his family’s house at the Jersey Shore.
