Maria Rollins and Kreinces Rollins & Shanker CPAs participated in the Paramus Rotary Club’s Annual Career Day on April 15th for the third year in a row. For over 25 years, the Paramus Rotary Club’s Career Day has provided high school juniors with the opportunity to spend time with a company that represents the career or vocation of their choice, with the goal that they will gain valuable insight and experience.
KRS hosted three Paramus high school students interested in the tax and accounting professions. KRS provided them with breakfast and a tour of our offices and daily operations, followed by a brief video and presentation led by staff accountants and CPAs, Erica Calella and Diane Pineda. Erica and Diane spoke about the advantages of becoming a CPA and the benefits of working for a mid-sized accounting firm. The students were then able to have hands-on and “behind the scenes” interactions with KRS CPAs. They participated enthusiastically, posing questions and requesting career planning advice. The students then headed to the Paramus Rotary Club luncheon and presentation at Seasons Catering in Washington Township, NJ.
It was a fun and exciting day for the KRS staff as well as the students. We always enjoy sharing our experiences with potential future entrants to our profession.
