Meet Erik Larsen, Senior Accountant at KRS CPAs
KRS CPAs is pleased to welcome Erik Larsen to the team as a Senior Accountant.
Erik joined the firm on Monday, June 1, bringing experience in personal and business tax. While tax is his main focus, Erik says he is ready to contribute wherever he can and support the team in any way needed.
A graduate of Kean University, Erik earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting before building his career in the field. He says what stood out to him most about KRS was the environment and structure of the firm, both of which made him excited to join the team.
Outside the office, Erik enjoys spending time with friends and family. More often than not, you can find him at the park or out walking his dog, Mixie.
Erik also brings a creative side to the KRS team. For the past three years, he has practiced and performed improv comedy, and he now belongs to several improv groups. What started as a class with a friend has become a regular part of his life.
When asked how improv compares to accounting, Erik pointed to listening and teamwork.
“You always must be listening to both your scene partners and yourself,” he said. He added that the best improv scenes happen when everyone works together and makes each other look good, rather than trying to be the star.
That same mindset fits well at KRS, where collaboration, attention, and care for others are part of the way the team works every day.
Of course, Erik also sees some clear differences between the stage and the office. As he put it, there are plenty of things he can say in improv that he cannot say at work. And while he knows his role as an accountant, he never knows what kind of character he may become during a show.
Please join us in welcoming Erik Larsen to KRS CPAs.
